Prom & Wedding Dress Photoshoot with Brides At Waterfields | Torquay Commercial Photography
I love getting to work with amazing local businesses and Brides At Waterfields is definielty one of those.
I have known Gemma for a few years and when her and her mum took ownership of Brides At Waterfields I was really excited to see what they did with it.
Brides At Waterfields wanted to shoot their prom and wedding dresses to create some images for their website and social media that better fitted their business and customers than the supplied images. Gemma brought together some great models as well as enlisting the help of Elegance Torquay to do the models hair and Fiona Miller as the make up artist, it was a really fun team to work with.
The shoot took place in the Brides At Waterfields shop as there was plenty of space for me to set up a backdrop and lighting as well as the girls to do the hair and make up. We had a lot of dresses to shoot but with four models we flew through them in pretty good time. Having four models allowed Gemma and I to pick dresses that best suited each model and gave Gemma a good variety of different faces to put together on promotional material.

The aim of this shoot was to photograph each dress and allow the bridal shop to show what each dress looks like on, giving customers a better idea of the shape of each dress. Once we had photographed each dress we also took some group shots, like the ones that are taken at proms. These shots were to be used on promotional material sent out to schools and colleges.
We had a great shoot and ended up with some fantastic images for the bridal shop to use to promote both their prom dresses and a few of their wedding dresses. It was great to be able to work with three other amazing local businesses who are all such experts in their fields. At the end of the day it all came together to create a portfolio of images we are all really proud of.
