Stills & Video Work for Saving Energy Group

I recently worked with Saving Energy Group to produce an informative promotional video and some stills for their marketing department.  Saving Energy Group operate as an intermediary between the Energy Consumer, and/or the Energy solutions provider.  We were focussing on Micro AD Machinery, this machine turns cow slurry into electricity and heat to use around the farm, plus farmers can sell their electricity back to the grid like with solar power.

The aim was to produce a video that demystified the machinery and process, as many farmers feel it is to good too be true.  Here is the video which should explain things a bit better than I have and show you what I produced for them.

Shooting commercial photography & videography is always so different, each time it's a different challenge and a new brief to capture.  This shoot had its challenges especially with the noise from around the farm and the machinery, but having some noise on the audio for the interview gives the video a more authentic feel and makes it more relatable for farmers watching the video.

This shoot what particularly interesting as I learned a lot about the processes taking place that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.  Also shooting on a farm brings some interesting challenges in terms of access. To capture some of the machinery properly there were times when I was stood on walkways above a river of cow slurry, I can safely say I haven't ever smelt anything that bad and I think my wife agreed when I came home smelling of the farm.
I love how varied my Devon commercial photography & videography work is,  a different challenge each time and something very different.

If you have an interesting business or product that needs some commercial photography &/or videography we'd love to help and are always up for a challenge.
